Magnificent Mason Jars

It was about 10pm at night and I was in bed surfing the web, pretty much half asleep when I found  a pile of these Mason Jars on a Swap & Buy Website.....and just thinking, "these would make a neat project?!" I bought them!

 Plain Ol' Mason Jars....

Oh Little, Homemade Cabinet

My MIL gave this piece to me......I think it originally came from my sister in law, and I think it was homemade?! It was pretty beat up and had what looks like a hand painted Sun, Moon, Stars & Black Polka Dots on it... oh come on, everyone had some type of "that" decor when it came out!! I think I had a blanket!  Did I just admit that out loud??!

 YUP, totally out dated!

SO, I Found These Sticks...

OK, So I was at a Farm Picking. I wasn't really finding anything that interesting, until we walked up to a giant pile of wood. Just a pile of old farm garbage really.

Then what to my wondering eyes appeared....Two little broken pieces of wood that had metal name plates on them and tiny nails sticking out of the tops. I thought they were interesting so I scooped them!

I found this one...AND I remembered, just as I started to paint, to take the "before" picture!

Out and About...

I was out looking for some old Barn Windows when I came across this little place. I had to snap some shots since there was so much character around.

I totally fluked out and got these birds taking off over this Old Barn House, I literally just threw my camera in the air and snapped!

I snapped this old Barrel, I LOVE the old colors in it.

A great old Red Barn...

I did in fact get some Windows, Stay tuned to see what I will do with them...

The times they are a changing!

The times are always changing in my life! I rarely have a dull moment, with 3 kids, my daughter with a medical condition, one son with a nut allergy,  Hubby, 2 dogs, a house, and a busy lifestyle!
I've had alot of challenges/traumas in my life.... but this is the path that has brought me to creating.

I did my first painting when I was pregnant with my daughter and they told me she had Kidney Disease and she wouldn't live to the end of the pregnancy! I painted....and she was born with Kidney Failure, otherwise healthy, happy and strong!

These challenges/traumas in life made me dig deep into myself and come face to face with my soul! Not an easy path that's for sure. Although in the midst of some really big challenges I've always had the urge to create something. Maybe it's to occupy my mind with better things, or another connection with my soul, either way I love that I was able to do that!

Recently I've had another tough lesson to be learned, or recognized....business wise. Therefore causing me to reconnect with my soul and throw myself into some deeper projects! So I apologize for being slow in the "posting" area!

I have to say, I am over the moon excited that I have a fan base, I really did celebrate at 20 "likes"on my Facebook page  and 100 views on the blog! Really! Every view, or interest in what I create fuels me to do more, it's been an astounding positive for me, and I say THANK YOU for tuning in.

Sad Brass Lamp To FABULOUS...

SO, I've been seeing a lot of these types of lamps lately in the Thrift Stores. The Brass/Gold is so dated and completely unflattering , that everyone just keeps walking right on by! Hmmmm, but, it's calling me..... I thought I'd try and renew one!
