L'Amour Candles

Here is a really exciting post for me....OH...who am I kidding, I'm always excited to post what I've been doing!

I Love Candles and I bought a 5 pack...

I picked my Five Favorite Vintage French Soap or Perfume Labels from my Favorite site (try saying that 5 times) Graphics Fairy. I then used the Mod Podge Tissue Paper method and glued the labels onto the Candles.

Simple yet Oh So Pretty!

They look just perfect on my dresser in my bedroom with my renewed Vintage French Lamp and French Garden Tray. Tres Chic!

Enjoy!

French Garden Tray

This one was SO easy and turned out Brilliant!

I bought this White Wood Garden Tray at a Thrift Store.

It totally needed to be French!  I printed this Vintage French Label from Graphics Fairy and Mod Podge Glued it to both sides of the tray then Shabby'd it up.

Much better, Perfect now!

Table Drawer Display Cabinet

SO, I had this broken little drawer, it came from a Vintage side table. Plain, Old, Brown Drawer.......OH but my vision saw something else!

AGAIN, I was SO excited to start this one that OOPS, I forgot the before picture....again!!!!! Darn it, Sorry!

 WOWZA, with a Jersey Accent!!!

I painted it Sea Glass, which is my new favorite color! I grabbed the Vintage Postage from "thee" best site ever, Graphics Fairy and I Mod Podged Glued it onto the drawer and gave it my Shabby Style.

Unfortunately my pictures that I took of it in a grouping in my stairwell were corrupted by my camera, but thanks goodness I have a few remaining!
Here it is hanging on my wall.

Here I have it with a few little accessories...
Nevermind renewing dressers, I need more drawers!!

Enjoy you day!

My Very First Auction Chair

I went to my very first Antique Store Bankruptcy Auction and it was SUPER FUN! I was so nervous to bid that after about 2 hours I finally bid on something only to lose it 2.5 seconds later! It's so fast!

By the end of the night I owned this chair, and a few more goodies.

Of course it DID NOT look like this, but I was so excited to transform it that OOPS, I forgot to take the before picture!
It was brown wood, a worn out crumbling leather seat, and the stuffing in the seat was some sort of  straw! What the heck?? It really was Antique!

Here it is Painted White and with my Shabby Style.

Here it is Completed....
Looks right out of a magazine!! I just Adore taking pictures of my Vintage Transformations out in nature!
Look at the details in that Chair, and the legs....OH MY!

And a side view

Happy Creating...

Little Green Curio Cabinet

Here is a little Wall Hung Curio Cabinet I scooped from my local Swap and Buy website. Vintage for sure.

I see the potential to make this something that draws a crowd, a total conversation starter!
Good-bye Forrest Green and Oak!

Can you say " INCREDIBLE Transformation?"

I painted it Sea Glass, gave it a Black wash over, then gave it some Shabby Style!

I used some Rub-On's that I bought at Michael's Craft Store and placed them in just the right spots!

Here I have it hung in my daughters bedroom with her Vintage Parlour Chair that I renewed!

Here it's in my entrance on my Antique Dresser with some of my other Creations! I didn't even put anything in the cabinet, it's so perfect as it is!

Keep On Creating...

Toile Vintage Window

This is a circa 1920's House Window, did I tell you that I'm in love with Vintage Windows? I want to see them in everyone's home, and I will keep on posting a Million ways to decorate with them!

I glued this Stunning Toile Fabric to the back of the glass with some Spray Glue, then gave the frame some of my Shabby Style. What a PERFECT fit!

Here is a close up of the Worn Wood on the corner of this Window Frame, OH the Character!

I Like My Artsy With A Little Fartsy

This is an Artsy Fartsy Piece I created. I just worked with the flow!

I had 3 pieces of broken wood from a Vintage Side Table.
I printed out some Vintage Music Sheets From Graphics Fairy and Mod Podge Glued them covering the 3 pieces all together.

I had these extra Alphabet Letters, Frames, and Pictures but couldn't figure out what to do with them...

Finally after 2 weeks, it came to me...
I spelled out Vintage Soul because that is totally me, then added the extras like the Vintage Postcard, Some Vintage Stamps and a Vintage Receipt, then added the Vintage Ladies on some cardboard and hung them from the bottom of the wood!
Is that Cool or what??

Here it is, hung on my wall!

Here on the wall with a chair that I renewed!
 Looks Excellent!

Super Love,
Jenny

Finally, We Get To Meet...

Well, Hello There! It's me Jenny A.K.A, Ava Blake Creations. SO nice to meet you!

I thought it would be good if I actually have some pictures of myself on my website! To see who is behind all this creating! My great Friend Amy took all the pictures for me! THANKS Amy!

I've said it before but I'll say it again. I create out of a deepness in my Soul. I have 3 kids ages 17, 11, and 6. My daughter was born with Kidney Disease, had Liver Cancer when she was 2. I donated my Kidney to her in 2008, she was 8 yrs old. She then became Diabetic after the Kidney Transplant due to the Anti-Rejection Medications, and recently she was just diagnosed with Arthritis. My little guy is also an Asthma, Eczema, Tree Nut Allergy kid. It's been quite the journey, you can read it all in my book that I am also currently writing! Believe me when I say, my soul has been cracked to the core more then once. I also have awe outstanding Hawt Husband who is forever there to support me through everything! We definitely live our lives to the fullest!

I'm not sure if it's a coping mechanism or this is what happens when you go this deep into yourself but with each traumatic event I felt the need to create. First it was painting. I had never painted in my life, I picked up the brush and just started painting and eventually found my groove. In order to be a 2 income family, we Build and Flip homes, after about 5 homes, I started to get bored of all the espresso brown furniture everywhere, and I started to Renew Vintage Furniture. I also bought myself a wicked Camera and taught myself some photography. All great creative outlets for me!

One of my friends convinced me to start a Blog, and here I am with just about 11.000 views on my Blog from around the world and 3000-5000 views a week on my Facebook page. I am truly grateful for all of this, I still can't believe people love my stuff. It seems the more I create, the more I find new things to do, or the more Creative I get. The whole thing is so positive for me.
This picture is so Awesome, I'm holding a glass of Fine Wine amongst some of my creations. Great Idea Amy! If you know me, you'll know that I do LOVE my wine! I have a Blind Wine Tasting Party every year, and  for about 4 years now!

There you have it in a nutshell....well more like a U-Haul with a rolling trailer!! I hope you will continue to follow me and keep on sending me the positive feedback! I'm excited to see where this Happy Journey will take me!

See you again soon...Keep On Creating!

Jenny
