Piece Of Cake Table

The only time I'm quiet on the blog front is when I've been BUSY, and BOY O BOY have I been busy!
Did you know that myself and my colleague are HOSTING our first Vintage Market?! Together we are The Alberta Dames Vintage Shindig, and I'm SO EXCITED I cannot even stand it!! We have 22+ vendors. I will have a booth FULL available to purchase as well! I feel like I'm raising the bar for myself again....I'm doing some crazy graphics for this event...go big or go home right?!

I want to share a piece I will have at the market....TeeHeeHee...
The story is a cute one! I bought this table a year ago....I KNOW...a year ago??? Yes, and my daughter scooped it right away! When I paint as much furniture as I do , I have to let her pick what she wants....she doesn't scoop things very often! So she had it in her room as a vanity that we were going to paint for her.....she never did pick a color she wanted it painted in! I tried to switch that table with many a piece over the year, NOPE she wasn't letting it go! Until now....

Here is the table....
it's SO PRETTY with all the detailing, but it was quite banged up!

Here is the piece she finally exchanged the table with, a French Provincial Desk and Chair Set. She hasn't quite set it all up yet but you get the point! She picked a van Gogh Fossil Paint mix for this WICKED Blue and then a KAPOW of Coral Is The Moral for the mirror and the seat! It looks AMAZING in her room!

~HAPPY JIG~ I finally have this piece to myself....
I chalk painted it with van Gogh Fossil Paint Cashmere Cream and the details in die for Blue...

As I was looking through my graphics pile, courtesy of The Graphics Fairy I came across a French Patisserie graphic, and YES a huge marriage happened!

I thought it looked best on the entire table top, and with all the details of the table I think it looks like a fancy cake!!

Here is a close up of the detailing on the table...
I sealed the table with both the van Gogh Fossil Paint Glorious waxes, Natural and French Caffeine for that perfectly aged look
